Community Involvement

Being an active part of our Southington, CT community is an important aspect of what we do. We promote health, wellness, and education in many facets of our community to bring awareness to oral health and its role in your overall well-being. 

Dr. Jay Leung commits many hours to educating, volunteering, and teaching so that everyone may benefit.

Mission of Mercy

Since 1994, Mission of Mercy has been providing free dental care and healthcare to underprivileged members of our community. By volunteering several times per year, Dr. Jay provides children with necessary dental care to restore their health and comfort. From fillings and crowns to emergency treatments such as extractions, Mission of Mercy is often the only way that some members of our community can receive the care they desperately need. An Emphasis on Education

By sharing his education and experience with the students of Lincoln College, Dr. Jay passes along his clinical knowledge and expertise to the next generation of dental hygienists and dental assistants. 

As an instructor, Dr. Jay can share information on how best to treat children – his specialty. By providing children with appropriate care based on their age level and understanding, we can establish life-long healthy smiles.

Working with Local Pediatricians

Creating wellness partnerships is one of the best ways to support healthy kids. By teaming up with our local pediatricians, doctors have the ability to share knowledge, discuss new developments in their fields, and discuss cases on an individual basis. We work closely with pediatricians to ensure that your child receives the best type of care for their overall and long-term health.

If you child has medical conditions, we will consult with their pediatrician to determine the best and safest course of treatment for their dentistry.

Daycare and School Presentations

Our team loves to teach children the steps to effective home care. We frequently visit daycares and schools, bringing fun props to entertain and demonstrate brushing and flossing. Using colorful, fun toys, we show kids how to keep their smiles healthy. We hand out toothbrushes and prizes, making each event fun and interactive. This also allows Dr. Jay and our team to show kids that dentists are fun and dentistry can be, too.
